Abby Price is a third-year Choral Studies major from Amarillo, Texas and a Fall 2015 NUGI. She is such a positive, shining presence in the group and has given so much to this organization. Outside of LHS, she serves as an executive officer for Ignite Texas, performs in Chamber Singers, and is a member of Sigma Phi Lambda (Phi Lamb). We love you, Abby!
Describe your favorite performance or musical experience.
One of most memorable performances I've done was when I performed at TMEA with the Texas All-State Women's Choir in 2015. It was incredible to make music with singers from all over the state who had the same passion and love for music and sharing it with others. I have such a strong connection to the songs we performed, and it was definitely an unforgettable experience.
What is your favorite LHS event or tradition?
My favorite LHS tradition is GSB [LHS' version of Secret Santa during Show Week]! Having a Good Show Buddy is so fun because we get to shower each other with love and fun gifts and ease the stress of show week. It's awesome to get to make someone else's day and put a smile on their face right before performing!
Did you have any weird quirks as a kid?
I've always been a huge "planner" and one to get things done ahead of time, and when I was a kid I even used to plan out my outfits for each day of the week on Sundays.
What's on your playlist right now?
Lately I've been loving Sam Smith's new album, The Thrill Of It All. His lyrics and his voice are both just incredible!
